September 10, 2026 - Sierra National Forest officials provide a seasonal office hours update: High Sierra Ranger Station

Seasonal changes are coming! The High Sierra Ranger Station at 71000 Kaiser Pass Road in Lakeshore, CA will be closed for the season starting on September 11.

Permits, passes, or maps will continue to be available at the High Sierra Ranger District (HSRD) office, located at 29688 Auberry Road Prather, CA 93651.

If you have any questions, you may call the HSRD at 559-855-5355, or the Sierra National Forest Supervisor's office at 559-297-0706.
