September 11, 2026 - The Sierra National Forest is pleased to announce the latest in a long list of Forest improvements; completion of a major road repair project in the Dinkey Lakes area (Dinkey Lakes Road Repair $3.52 M)!! This contract work restored and improved more than 95 miles of roads, enhancing access to numerous recreation sites, trailheads, and OHV routes, as illustrated on the map shown below.  Also included are some photos to illustrate the high level of quality that went into this work.

These repairs support our ongoing commitment to improving access to public lands and ensuring safer, more reliable roads for all Forest users. We appreciate the public’s patience during project activities and welcome residents and visitors alike, to enjoy the improved routes throughout the Forest.
