Thanks to our community’s generous donations and support, Soroptimist International of Mariposa delivered bags of candy, each weighing over 15 pounds, to 40 houses in our local neighborhoods to distribute to the children of Mariposa on Halloween night. This effort provided much needed assistance and support to the homeowners who bear the economic burden of hosting Mariposa’s safe trick-or-treating venue.
Soroptimist International of Mariposa wishes to thank the following for making the third annual Halloween Candy Drive a huge success: Pioneer Market, Happy Burger Diner, Starchman & Bryant Law Offices, the Sierra Sun Times, the Mariposa Gazette, Airport Inn, Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office, Mariposa County Government Center, Mariposa County Human Services, Steve’s Sportsman Café, Sal’s Mexican Restaurant, Pizza Factory, Donuts-A-Go-Go, Triangle Market, Bootjack Market, Midpines Market, Oasis, Coast Hardware, Mariposa Jazzercise, and the residents of Mariposa County for donating candy and funds.
