September 24, 2026 – Fresno County Sheriff’s Office officials report that homicide detectives have arrested 23-year-old Jose Miranda Jr. of Selma. He has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on a charge of murder. 

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Diego Miranda of Selma. He is the brother of the suspect.

Shortly before 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Sheriff’s dispatchers received a call of an injured person at a home on the 11000 block of E. Saginaw Ave. in Selma. Deputies arrived and found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives and Crime Scene Unit technicians responded to the scene to gather statements and collect evidence. Jose Miranda, who remained at the scene, was arrested. This is an ongoing investigation.
