September 27, 2026 - Stanislaus National Forest officials say the Visitor Services Program on the Sugar Pine Ranger District is seeking volunteer groups (or individuals) that are interested in helping maintain the Interpretive Trails on the Highway 108 corridor.
Volunteers would visit the adopted site at least 2 times during the summer months (May - September) to conduct light maintenance work such as sweeping, raking, clipping vegetation, painting, picking up trash, and cleaning interpretive signs.
Adopt as a person or as a group, your name or your group will be added to the sign! Available trails include:
- Trail of the Survivors
- Trail of the Gargoyles
- Trail of the Ancient Dwarfs
- Donnell Vista Interpretive Trail
- Columns of Giants Interpretive Trail
- Beardsley Day Use/ China Flat Day Use Interpretive Trail
- Sugar Pine Railway Interpretive Trail (Fraser Flat to Strawberry) And More!
