September is National Library Card Signup Month 

September 29, 2026 – Mariposa County Library officials announce that September is National Library Card Signup Month. We've been getting lots of new patrons signing up for cards and would encourage you to come in and inquire about obtaining one, if you don't have one!

To celebrate the library, on Wednesday, September 30 through Friday, October 2, if you stop into your local branch, approach the front desk and ask about our Adult Literacy program (Read for Life), you can receive a free bumper sticker while supplies last.

Our literacy program helps adult learners who are seeking reading and writing skills, or other life skills. We are always looking for new tutors and learners.
