Weber, Ph.D. “My staff and I are proud to continue to collaborate with educators and elections officials throughout the state to help motivate students to participate in our democracy.”

The California Student Mock Elections is hosted in partnership with the State Superintendent of Public Instruction in advance of each General Election. The event nurtures student interest in voting by tapping into the excitement of the campaign season. As students learn about the candidates and issues, they discover how government impacts every part of their lives. They gain firsthand knowledge about how citizens make their voices heard and experience the power of voting as they are joined by thousands of California students who vote in the California Student Mock Election.

For each Student Mock Election, the California Office of the Secretary of State provides participating schools with mock election ballots, voter information guides, and other materials designed to promote voting and civic engagement. For this mock election, students cast their votes for California Governor and the 14 statewide ballot measures that will appear on the November 3, 2026, General Election ballot.
