Also at 10 a.m., children aged 5 to 12 can learn about the art and science of papermaking and make their own recycled paper to take home. Parents are welcome to bring younger children for story time while older children are taking part in the program.
Both programs are free of charge.
The makerspace will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Materials and equipment are available at no cost to make small projects. Drop in and get ideas, talk with staff and volunteers, and find out what Green S.T.E.A.M. is all about. The makerspace is also open to teens aged 13 to 19 on Thursday afternoons from 3 to 5 p.m.
