Deputies and CHP arrived on scene and found a pickup had collided with a rock embankment, an injured adult male was found near the pickup and a deceased adult female was found inside the pickup. The injured male was transported to a hospital in Fresno where he is being treated for stab wounds.
Sheriff’s Detectives interviewed the victim at the hospital and a man who had been detained at the call involving the suspicious male. A third man who had also been a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the collision was located by Detectives and also interviewed; he is considered a witness at this point.
After the initial investigation, the detained male was arrested for one count of murder and one count of attempted murder. He has been identified as 26 year old George Taylor-Windsor, he has been living in the Oakhurst area recently.
The deceased victim is not being identified at this point pending notification of next of kin. An autopsy will be conducted later this week to determine cause of death.
