Taft Search Warrant Arrest 

October 24, 2026 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on October 22, 2026, deputies assigned to the Taft Substation executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Naylor Avenue in Taft.

During the search warrant there were a total of 204 marijuana plants that were eradicated. Ricardo Orduna, age 43, from Mexico was arrested for HS 11358(c); Cultivation of marijuana, HS 11359(b); Marijuana for sales, and HS 11366(a); Maintaining a place for sales and was subsequently booked into the Kern County Sheriff's Office, Lerdo Justice Facility.
