“Operation Boo” Keeps Sex Offenders in Check
October 30, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on October 28, 2026, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office conducted a 290 Registrant Compliance Detail throughout Tulare County, known as “Operation Boo”.
During the operation, Deputies registered sex offenders at their homes to verify registration information, including addresses and personal contact details, and identify all individuals living in the home.
With Halloween approaching, registrants were also reminded of restrictions regarding Halloween-related decorations and were advised to keep their homes dark, including turning off porch lights to discourage children from approaching their homes.
More than 50 homes were contacted during Wednesday’s operation with help from the Dinuba Police Department, Woodlake Police Department, Exeter Police Department, Visalia Police Department, and Farmersville Police Department.
One arrest was made during the detail for a felon in possession of ammunition.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office will continue conducting compliance checks to ensure registered offenders are adhering to California’s registration requirements and applicable restrictions.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at 559-733-6218.
