Choral music from the American and international choral tapestries will be presented by the MCHS Advanced Chorus on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Richard D. Fiester Auditorium. From the American choral repertoire the ensemble will feature Robert Frost’s descriptive poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” set to music by Eugene Butler, followed by the rousing harvest song “Pick a Bale of Cotton.” Holiday music will include Benjamin Britten’s “There is no Rose” and “This Little Babe” and John Rutter’s “Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day,” as well as a “Christmas Calypso.”
There is a $5.00 general admission. Tickets may be purchased in advance from any Advanced Chorus member or at the door on the night of the concert.
