“From her very first day in the Assembly, Kristin has brought a forward-thinking attitude to the fight to empower all Californians to pursue their dreams by building a better education system, increasing jobs, and implementing increased government transparency,” said California Republican Party Chairman Jim Brulte. “As a key member of the California Republican Party leadership, Kristin will help us continue to build the Party from the ground up so we can better support Republicans as we continue to fight for a more open and prosperous California.”
As Assembly Republican Leader, Olsen was able to meet Californians and stakeholders from across the state, an experience that will help the CRP continue to listen and further connect with voters as they rebuild from the ground up.
“I’m looking forward to once again working as part of the California Republican Party leadership team as we strive to better the lives of every Californian,” said California Republican Party Vice Chair Kristin Olsen. “Our work at the Party level supports Republicans across the state who play an important role in bringing balance and transparency to our local and state government. I’m excited for this new opportunity and can’t wait to get started. We have a lot of work to do.”
Prior to being elected to the Assembly, Olsen served five years on the Modesto City Council. Professionally, she served as the Assistant Vice President for Communications and Public Affairs at CSU Stanislaus, and as the Senior Communications Manager for the California Restaurant Association. Her first job out of college was as a staffer in the State Senate, a position in which she admittedly got “the bug” for public service.
Olsen will complete the term of previous Vice Chair Harmeet K. Dhillon who assumed the role of CRP National Committeewoman during the summer.
