With the help of a grant from Mariposa Academic Boosters Club, Inc., MCHS Drama Teacher Bryan Starchman took 67 students and 3 staff members to see "Beauty and the Beast" at Playhouse Merced on December 7, 2016. Students loved the play! Mr. Starchman says all of his students were impressed with the production. One of his students said, "Starchman, that was really good! And I don't usually like that kind of thing." Mr. Starchman tells us the other half of the audience that day was made up of kindergartners. Both their teachers and the head of the school program for Playhouse Merced commented on what a great example MCHS students were for the little ones. Way to represent, Grizzlies! ABC is happy students had such an enriching experience. 

MCHS Academic Boosters Club, Inc. (ABC) is a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to supplement and enrich academic experiences and provide educational tools for Mariposa County High School students. ABC is able to make contributions to programs like this due to the generosity of an Anonymous Donor and contributions from community members. ABC has a donation campaign running through the end of the year.
