Inspired by a mountain lion known as P-22 that lives in the middle of Los Angeles, Beth has travelled extensively to capture tales of animals that together have inspired a paradigm shift in wildlife conservation. She shares these stories in her new book, “When Mountain Lions are Neighbors” and discusses the dynamic between humans and animals and the challenges of living with wildlife. Beth has worked in environmental leadership roles for over twenty-five years, and in two of the country’s largest national parks: Yosemite and Yellowstone. She lives in Midpines, CA with her husband, four dogs, two cats, and the mountain lions, bears, foxes, frogs, and other wildlife that frequent her NWF Certified Wildlife Habitat backyard.
A book signing will follow the presentation, and copies are available now at the Mariposa Museum & History Center.
