Donohoe January Painting svThe Mariposa County Arts Council is happy to announce the dates for the next Brush Bar @ 1850 events:
Thursday, January 19 and Monday, January 23. Brush Bar is a painting workshop, with step-by-step instruction and wine. Participants will take home a beautiful finished painting, ready to hang on the wall. Local painter and college art instructor, Moira Donohoe, will lead the workshops. This month’s painting is the Yosemite Valley Chapel in winter.

Participants are welcome to arrive at 5 p.m. for dinner and/or wine (dinner not included in price of ticket), meet the instructor, meet other participants, and ask questions. Instruction begins at 6 p.m. and will be held in the upstairs loft of 1850 Restaurant. If planning on eating dinner before class, please arrive promptly at 5 p.m. as food is not allowed in the workshop space.

The cost is $40 for Mariposa County Arts Council Members and $45 for non-members. This cost includes all materials, instruction, and one full glass of house red or white wine. Participants must register at least one week in advance. Seats are limited.

Participants can sign up in the Arts Council’s online shop, which can be found at: MariposaArtsCouncil.org.  Please contact the Arts Council at (209) 966-3155 or at rodriguez@mariposaartscouncil.org with any questions.
