Free computer classes are offered throughout the year on the first and fourth Thursday of the month from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Mariposa Library. Classes are taught by Jerry Wagner and the staff of Red Tail Ridge Technical Services in Mariposa.

The program is structured around a lecture/lab format in which participants will put into practice in the lab on the first Thursday what they have learned in the lecture on the fourth Thursday.

Topics through June (2017) are:

·         January 26 and February 2 - computer basics

·         February 23 and March 2 - Internet/YouTube/email and transferring data

·         March 23 and April 6 - Office Suite

·         April 27 and May 4 - Networking (file sharing, printer sharing, etc.)

·         May 25 and June 1 - Bring your own cell phones and tablets

·         June 22 and July 6 - Social Media

Space is limited, and registration is required. To register for one or more classes, call the Library at 209-966-2140 during business hours, email karen.dusek@mariposalibrary.org, or sign up in person at the Library. 

A few tablets will be available for lab use for those who do not have their own.
