Last week, Teena Starchman's third graders had the pleasure of having three members of the Mariposa Yosemite Rotary Club visit their classroom. Rotary donated a beautiful dictionary filled with gorgeous, colorful illustrations to each third grader. These Rotarians handed them out and then did a fun lesson with the students on how to correctly use their new dictionaries. Rotary provides dictionaries to third graders in all Mariposa County public schools and have done so for a number of years. It is a wonderful program. Teena Starchman's third graders love their new dictionaries. They have already written Rotary thank you notes.
