During the month of January, Sierra Foothill Charter School staff worked with students on understanding the Core Virtues of honor and integrity. Students who stand out to teachers as exhibiting those characteristics on a daily basis were recognized at a school wide assembly on Friday, January 27, 2017.

SFCS 0251Great job to: Kolton Olson, Wyndham Evans, Anna Ramirez, Chloe Blagg,  Aidan Beutel-DePrano, Levi Evans, Westley Sheffield, Owen Eastwood,  Lillan Engstrom, and (not pictured) Tyler Brown.
SFCS 0249Principal Mindy Bolar began the assembly with a game show in which contestants "buzzed in" to be the first to answer questions having to do with honesty, integrity, and the Core Virtues program.

At the end of the assembly, there was then a drawing for a grand prize Terrific Ticket winner. Throughout the month, students who are seen exhibiting behaviour that goes above and beyond expectations are given tickets. They can choose to turn the tickets in for a prize from the treasure chest in the office for immediate gratification or they can enter their ticket into a drawing for a chance at a grand prize.
SFCS 0256This month's grand prize was a kit for growing crystals and the lucky winner was second grader Bret Brown.

The assembly was followed by a wide variety of Fun Friday activities outside and inside the multi. It was a fun afternoon!
