    Discussion and consideration of approval to amend the Classification Plan by adding the classes of Chief of Assessment Services and Senior Cadastral Drafting Technician, and direction to:



1.              Set the salary ranges for each class as follows:



a.              Chief of Assessment Services:  Range 292 (MB2 1115), $5,392 - $6,554 per month ($64,705 - $78,649 annually).



b.              Senior Cadastral Drafting Technician:  Range 242 (TB2 1214), $4,160 - $5,057 per month ($49,924 - $60,683 annually).



2.              Designate the Chief of Assessment Services class as overtime exempt, and the Senior Cadastral Drafting Technician class as overtime eligible, pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act.



3.              Allocate the Chief of Assessment Services class to the Mid-Management Unit, and the Senior Cadastral Drafting Technician class to the Technical Unit, for bargaining purposes. 



4.              Amend the Classification Plan by eliminating the classes of Assessment Office Manager and Supervising Cadastral Drafting Technician.



5.              Reclassify and reallocate the following employee from the position of Supervising Drafting Cadastral Technician to the position of Chief of Assessment Services: Bonnie Hendrickson.



6.              Direct the Human Resources/Operations Division of County Administration to amend the Position Allocation within the Assessor's Office (Org Key #00400) as follows, effective February 1, 2017:



a.              Eliminate 1.0 FTE allocated to the class of Assessment Office Manager.



b.              Eliminate 1.0 FTE allocated to the class of Supervising Cadastral Drafting Technician.



c.              Add 1.0 FTE and allocate it to the class of Chief of Assessment Services.



d.              Reduce the 2.0 FTEs allocated to the class series of Cadastral Drafting Technician I/II by one (1) position to reflect 1.0 FTE.
