February 10, 2017 - The National Weather Service in Hanford CA has issued a:
* Flood Warning for Small Streams in... Western Mariposa County in central California... Southwestern Tuolumne County in northern California... Central Madera County in central California...
* Until 1045 AM PST Friday
* At 1043 PM PST, Thursday Evening, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain that will cause flooding. Rivers and creeks are already running high and more rain is expected overnight. Therefore, a Flood Warning is now in effect.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bootjack, Mariposa, Catheys Valley, Metcalf Gap, Batterson, Lake McClure, Jerseydale and Ahwahnee.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions for the rest of tonight.
