March 1, 2017 - The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office updates citizens concerning an "official" looking vehicle in Mariposa County.

We have received multiple questions and inquiries about this vehicle.

This vehicle is NOT a vehicle currently used by any law enforcement agencies in Mariposa County.

A vehicle similar to this pictured vehicle has been seen around Mariposa County and looks very "official" it even has yellow caution lights. The vehicle appears to be an auctioned police vehicle and is equipped with a spotlight and a push bumpers as well.

The driver of this vehicle is a local Mariposa resident and is known to law enforcement.
