Chelsea Stillwell's TK/K class at Sierra Foothill Charter School had special visitors on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Leo the Lion and Dental Hygienist Burney Stephens stopped by to teach students about good dental health. Students each had a turn brushing the teeth of stuffed animal Leo. They went home with goodie bags filled with a toothbrush, toothbrush cover, and flossers. Mariposa County First 5 provided this wonderful learning opportunity.
Lillan Engstrom brushes Leo's teeth as students including (facing forward) Bailey O'Conner, Brylee Bean, and Tennessee Blagg look on and await their turns.
Brylee Bean takes a turn brushing Leo's teeth. It looks like she is doing a very thorough job of it!
