Northside Pet ConnectionThe Board of Directors of the Northside Pet Connection meets on the first Monday of each month at 5 p.m., at the Community Hall in Coulterville. The public is always welcome, although we suggest you call a day or so before the meeting to be sure we plan to have enough members present to conduct business. Call (209) 385-3503. During our March 6 meeting we agreed to review our by-laws over the coming months, in particular to be sure our new members were aware of their contents. Of concern to all of us was the possible expansion of our service area beyond the communities we now serve. We would look to communities that do not have low-cost spay/neuter readily available to them.

As you are probably aware, the only mission of NPC is to provide spay/neuter services at little or no cost to these five communities: Coulterville, Big Oak Flat, Greeley Hill, Lake Don Pedro, and Groveland. Due largely to the generosity of these communities and the contributions of several major donors, we are now in a position to expand our reach. We will be looking at areas that appear to have the potential to be supportive of NPC’s activities and perhaps to be participants in those activities. If you have suggestions for us, please send us a note at our new post office box (P.O Box 411, Coulterville, 95311). Be sure to include your telephone number. Our goal is to check the box weekly. Please remember that everyone involved with NPC is a volunteer! We have no paid staff to help us conduct business.

Fortunately, we continue to have strong interest in our voucher program for spay/neuter. In January there were 18 vouchers issued and in February 27. Our spay/neuter coordinator can be reached at (209) 732-6194. You will hear a recorded message that will tell you how to proceed.

Thanks for your support of Northside Pet Connection.
