March 14, 2017 - WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Jeff Denham has announced that his commonsense immigration reform bill – H.R. 60, the Encourage New Legalized Immigrants to Start Training Act (ENLIST Act) – has gained over 100 co-jeff denham officialsponsors in the 115th Congress.

“ENLIST is a win-win for our country and something that my colleagues on both sides of the aisle agree on,” said Rep. Denham. “There is no greater act of patriotism than serving the country you love in the armed forces, which is something immigrants have been doing throughout our nation’s history.”

The ENLIST Act – which has strong bipartisan support at 57 Republicans and 57 Democrats – would allow otherwise qualified undocumented immigrants brought here by their parents through no fault of their own to earn legal status through military service.

Rep. Denham introduced the ENLIST Act last Congress as H.R. 1989, where it garnered bipartisan support, and in September, President-elect Donald Trump expressed support for such a measure.

Additional information about the ENLIST Act, including the full bill text and list of co-sponsors, is available on Congress.gov.
