This year the Coulterville Heritage Rose Tour is on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 from 10-12 a.m., starting at the History Center on the corner of Hwy 49 and Hwy 132. Representatives of the Rose Rustlers will lead a free walking tour through the historic town of Coulterville. Tea will be served on return to the History Center, with roses available for purchase: one gallon pots for $7 and 5 gallons for $15.
The Rose Rustlers were out and about this past fall. October and November is the perfect time for cuttings and we gathered quite a few this year. We would love to hear from anyone in Coulterville who thinks they may have an old rose; we may be able to identify it for you and make more through cuttings or cloning your rose.
Roses this year for sale: Paul Neyron*, Dutcheese de Brabant*, Old Blush, Coulterville Red, Dr. Huey*, Dr. W Van Fleet, Fortune’s Double Yellow, Rosa multiflora*, Rosa laevigata (Cherokee Rose)*, Semperviren musk*, Lamaque*, Cecile Brunner, Russell’s Cottage, White Musk Noisette*, Reine Marie Henriette*, Madame Berard*, and Prairie Rose*. An asterisk (*) indicates this variety is new this year or not yet in Coulterville.
Hope to see you there!
