The Mariposa County 4-H Council and the 4-H Citizenship Project are calling all interested youth and leaders to come and take part in a Spring Junior Livestock Day, with free admission. It will be held Sunday, March 26, 2017, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., at the Strathearn Pavilion, Mariposa County Fairgrounds. It's going to be a fun packed day while you will learn important skills & livestock showing.
Nicky Madddux, of Merced Jr. College and her student leadership group, will be presenting the program sessions on Beef, Sheep, Swine, and Meat Goats. The college students will share Nutrition, Selection & Evaluation, Fitting and Showmanship.
There will be four, two hour sessions, with your choice of which two animals you choose to learn. Bootjack Equipment Rental and Feed, Gallaway Supply and Feed, and Mariposa Feed and Supply, have all donated gifts for prize give away and may be there for any questions. Come out, have fun, win prizes, plus lunch will be available for all!
