In recognition of National Healthcare Decision Day, on April 16, John C. Fremont Hospital is offering two free informational programs on Advance Health Care Directives.  The programs will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. and at 3:00 p.m. at John C. Fremont Hospital, 5189 Hospital Road, Mariposa, in the board room in the administration building, located at the back of the hospital.

The program will provide information about how they work, what choices you can make about the type and degree of treatment you would want based on conditions one could be in.  Who you want to designate to make health care decisions for you if you are unable to do so.  Attendees can also complete an advance directive and have it notarized at no charge at the program.

“It always seems too early, until it’s too late,” is this year’s theme for National Decision Day.  This program will answer many questions that people have about advance directives, and provide information that will help them in making decisions about their care and their wishes.
