Source of Narcotics Supply Arrest
July 7, 2023 - Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that during the month of February 2023, Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Street Team identified Donald Cunningham as a source of narcotics supply to residents of Ventura and Los Angeles County. The investigation revealed Cunningham was operating out of his residence in the 11100 block of Newcastle Street in Granada Hills.
Detectives were granted a search warrant for Cunningham, his residence, and his vehicles by the Ventura County Superior Court. On June 23, 2023, Narcotics Detectives executed the search warrant at Cunningham’s residence. Cunningham fled into an open wash to the rear of his residence and temporarily eluded capture. On June 28, 2023, Narcotics Detectives contacted and arrested Cunningham in front of his residence.
As a result of the investigation, over two pounds of fentanyl, approximately one and a half pounds of heroin, three quarters of a pound of methamphetamine, about 1,500 counterfeit oxycodone pills (believed to be fentanyl), about 6,500 counterfeit alprazolam pills, about 3,000 counterfeit amphetamine pills, almost a pound of psilocybin mushrooms, 29 milliliters of ketamine, 1,000 milliliters of gamma hydroxybutyrate (GHB), 45 pounds of marijuana, over seven pounds of concentrated cannabis, 17 firearms, two stolen motorcycles, a stolen box trailer and US Currency deemed to be proceeds from drug sales were seized from Cunningham.
This case has been submitted to the United States Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
