July 19, 2023 - San Bernardino Police Department officials report that recently SBPD Special Investigations Unit, Narcotics Unit, MET, and DRO’s coordinated their efforts for the service of eight search warrants. This investigation was in relation to the ILLEGAL manufacturing, sales, and possession of firearms.
The video is just a preview of all the evidence that was located. Additionally, 3D printers were located inside illegal storefronts where “ghost guns” were being manufactured. This investigation reduced the chances of guns like these being illegally sold and prevented them from falling into the wrong hands such as gang members or other violent felons.
In total, seven felony arrests were made. SBPD is committed to the safety of our city. Below is a full breakdown of the investigation.

Knocking Down Crime
SBPD Special Investigations Unit, Narcotics Unit, MET, and DROs collaborated to serve eight search warrants. This investigation was in relation to the ILLEGAL manufacturing, sales, and possession of firearms. Additionally, 3D printers were located inside illegal storefronts where "ghost guns" were manufactured. These ghost guns were un-serialized, making them harder to track when solving violent crimes. In total, seven felony arrests were made. Listed below are some of the highlights of the recovered evidence.
- 129 Firearms
- Ammunition
- High- Capacity magazines
- Several pounds of methamphetamine & cocaine
- Over half a million dollars
According to a recent Department of Justice report, San Bernardino City was ranked in the top 4 for the most ILLEGAL firearms seized in California! We have recovered over 1,200 firearms in the last year alone. Chief Goodman held fast by stating, "The types of people purchasing these illegal weapons do so because they cannot legally possess firearms or are unable to pass a background check". SBPD is committed to protecting our city.
