July 25, 2023 - Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that in the afternoon of July 22, 2023, deputies responded to a theft call at a local cosmetics business, Ventura County Sheriff logowherein the suspects fled but were located a short time later thanks to witnesses obtaining the suspect vehicle’s license plate. The suspects were arrested for theft and numerous other charges.

On July 22, 2023, at about 2:43 P.M. (1443 hours), deputies assigned to patrol the City of Camarillo responded to a theft call in the 100 block E. Daily Drive. The witness was able to provide the license plate and description of the suspect’s vehicle along with a description of the suspects involved in the theft. A short time later, deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Jayme Fahy of Bakersfield, was contacted and found to be in possession of a false ID with another name and her photograph on it. During the contact, Fahy was found to be in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia.

Deputies searched Fahy’s vehicle and located credit cards, driver’s licenses, and medication in the names of other people from the Bakersfield and Fountain Valley areas. Deputies discovered a stolen check that appeared to be stolen mail from Bakersfield. Deputies also located a large quantity of narcotics and drug paraphernalia in a bag located next to her, including Fentanyl, methamphetamine, numerous pills, a glass pipe, and a scale with drug residue. The quantities recovered were consistent with drug sales. Deputies also recovered a handicap placard that had been stolen two days prior during a residential burglary in Bakersfield.

Deputies located ammunition in the vehicle. Fahy is a prohibited person and cannot legally possess weapons or ammunition.

The second suspect, Anthony Limon of Bakersfield, was a passenger in the car. Limon was identified by witnesses as the primary suspect in the theft. During the contact with Limon, he was found to be in possession of stolen property from the Camarillo business valued at over $1000, and he also possessed narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Fahy was booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility. Fahy remains in custody in lieu of $50,000 bail.

As in this investigation, obtaining suspect vehicle descriptions and license plate numbers are critical to the quick apprehension of suspects.
