Narcotics
August 18, 2023 - Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that during the month of August 2023, detectives from the Thousand Oaks Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) began an investigation into Steve Rivera related to the sale of narcotics.
On August 10, 2023, DEU detectives contacted and arrested Steve Rivera, Jose Martin, and Elizebeth Contreras. As a result of the investigation, detectives seized controlled substances and narcotics sales related indicia.
Rivera was booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility for the following charges:
HS 11351 – Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance
HS 11377(a) – Possession of a Controlled Substance
HS 11550(a) – Under the Influence of a Controlled
Martin Martin was booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility for the following charges:
HS 11377(a) – Possession of a Controlled Substance
PC 1203.2(a) – Misdemeanor Warrant / Violation of Probation
Contreras was released with a written promise to appear for the following charges:
HS 11377(a) – Possession of a Controlled Substance
HS 11550(a) – Under the Influence of a Controlled
