August 27, 2023 - Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report Sheriff's Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male Hispanic adult. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at approximately 11:30 PM.
Walnut Sheriff's Station deputies responded to the 1900 block of Sierra Leone Ave., Rowland Heights, regarding multiple calls of a gunshot victim. Upon arriving, deputies discovered two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The second male Hispanic adult victim was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
A suspect was arrested and a firearm was recovered at the scene.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are responding to a shooting death investigation. The incident was reported Saturday, August 26, 2023 at approximately 11:30 p.m., on the 1900 block of Sierra Leone Ave., in the city of Rowland Heights.
A male adult was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second male adult was transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.
