UPDATE: In-Custody Death at Main Jail
September 6, 2023 - Santa Barbara, Calif. – Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office officials report that the Sheriff’s Office is providing further details regarding the in-
custody death at the Mail Jail on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
The deceased inmate has been identified as 37-year-old Luis Enrique Duron Rodriguez from Goleta. Cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office will continue to provide additional updates as they become available.
