September 10, 2023 - Los Angeles Police Department officials report that for the past few months, Olympic Narcotics Enforcement Detail and Gang Enforcement Detail focused their investigation on weapons trafficking in and around Olympic Division by local gang members. Their investigation led to the arrest of an individual who supplied weapons to the local gangs.

Follow up investigations revealed a weapon/ghost gun manufacturer from a nearby city. Several search warrants were served in conjunction with LAPD specialized units and outside agencies.

The investigations resulted in arrests and recovery of ghost guns and assault weapons.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Below is a compilation of weapons and evidence seized from the search warrants:

- (7) assault rifles

- (1) machine gun (full auto AR)

- (1) single shot rifle

- (2) handguns

- (1) suppressor

- high-capacity rifle/handgun magazines

- thousands of rounds of ammunition (various calibers)
