September 10, 2023 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force, with the assistance of Riverside County Gang Task Force Region 2, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 67000 block of Verona Road in Cathedral City. During the service of the search warrant Gang Task Force Officers located a 9mm semi-auto handgun and .40 caliber semi-auto handgun. The .40 caliber handgun was previously reported as stolen.

Gang Task Force Officers arrested convicted felon, Javier Estrada Jr., 29-year-old of Cathedral City for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Unregistered Firearm, Committing a Felony While on Bail, and Violation of PRCS (Supervised Release).

Gang Task Force Officers also arrested Sarah Gaffney, 35-year-old of Cathedral City for Possession of Fentanyl. Both Estrada Jr. and Gaffney were booked at John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
