Friday Noon Update: A missing woman in Ramona is back home safely with her family. A driver heading to work noticed Zita Swanson in the bushes along Mussey Grade Road around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, September 22. She was checked by paramedics and reunited with her family.

Missing Person in Ramona 

September 22, 2023 - San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report that the Sheriff's Search and Rescue (SAR) Unit has been activated to help locate a missing person in Ramona.

In the early morning hours of Thursday, September 21, 66-year-old Zita Swanson left her home in the 700 block of G Street in Ramona. She did not return home. Swanson is believed to be traveling on foot and does not have any known access to vehicles. She is not believed to be carrying a cell phone or purse.

Swanson is a Hispanic woman standing about 5'5" tall and weighing around 174 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple or blue striped blouse, blue jeans, and black shoes.
