Ghost Gun Arrest in Otay Mesa 

October 13, 2023 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report that a man is in custody after being found with a ghost gun outside of a county jail in Otay Mesa.

It happened on Monday, October 9, 2023, just after 3:00 p.m. in the 400 block of Alta Road. Deputies from the East Mesa Reentry Facility and George Bailey Detention Facility were patrolling their parking lots when they saw a car enter a restricted area.

Deputies made a traffic stop and contacted the occupants. With their consent, deputies searched the car. A loaded 9mm ghost gun with no identifying serial number was located inside of a backpack on the passenger floorboard.

During the investigation, Isaiah Cisneros (21) (DOB 09/25/2002) admitted the ghost gun belonged to him. He was arrested and booked into the San Diego Central Jail for possession a firearm on jail grounds, possession of a concealed firearm and possession of a ghost gun.
