Fatal Traffic Collision 

June 25, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 3:17 p.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the intersection of Dracaea Avenue and Indian Street in Moreno Valley regarding a major injury traffic collision. Deputies arrived on scene and located a single vehicle with major collision damage. The driver, and sole occupant, was severely injured and trapped inside the vehicle. Riverside County Fire immediately responded and extricated the driver. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Reconstruction team responded and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation and the identity of the driver will not be released pending notification to the next of kin. It is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision. No further information is available at this time.
