Hot Call
October 17, 2023 - San Bernardino Police Department officials report that on Sunday, at around 4:00 a.m., Officers responded to the 3100 block of Casa Loma Drive regarding a Kia that crashed into a house and CAUGHT FIRE. Responding officers from the Communication Center were updated that several occupants from inside the home fled to the rear yard but were now trapped as the fire began to grow. Arriving officers and a Sergeant grabbed the necessary tools, including a battering ram, to break down the locked wooden fence, as seen in the video. They rescued all the people from the backyard. The Fire Department arrived and brought the fire to a close, preventing neighboring homes from being lost.
Luckily, no one inside the home was injured. The vehicle was found to have been stolen. The occupants of the vehicle fled and are currently being sought by investigators.
