February 14, 2024 - San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at
approximately 10:10 p.m., deputies from the Hesperia Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at a home in the 8500 block of C Ave. They located the victim, Natanael Godinez, suffering from a stab wound. Godinez was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division-Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation. Through investigation, it was determined Natanael and his girlfriend, Alexis Garcia, had an argument. During the argument, Alexis retrieved a kitchen knife and stabbed Natanael.
Alexis Garcia was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for PC 187-Murder. She is being held without bail, pending a court appearance.
