March 10, 2024 - San Bernardino Police Department officials report that recently, SBPD Officers assisted CHP with an incident that occurred on the freeway. The suspect, who was driving at the time, engaged in a verbal dispute with his girlfriend which turned physical. He assaulted her and threatened her with a knife that he had on his person.

After arriving back at their apartment in the city, officers responded. She was found safe with several of their children, but their young son remained inside with the male suspect. Officers gave announcements and eventually, the suspect exited with the son nearby. Officers moved in and took him into custody. CHP handled the investigation where a firearm and knife were recovered. He was arrested on several charges.
