*$20,000 Reward* 

March 12, 2024 - Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials report that on January 6, 2024, numerous headstones, and headstone markers at “Woodlawn Celestial Gardens” cemetery in Compton were discovered broken or vandalized and bronze memorial plaques were removed and stolen.

On February 27, 2024, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a reward of $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this vandalism and theft.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Bureau detectives are requesting the public’s help and are asking anyone with information to contact LASD Major Crimes Bureau at (562) 946-7893.
