CDCR Seeking Incarcerated Man Who Walked Away from a San Diego Reentry Program

March 17, 2024 - SAN DIEGO – California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) officials are seeking a person who walked away from a Male CDCR Wilkerson BT3699Community Reentry Program (MCRP) in San Diego on Friday, March 15, 2024.

Quintin G. Wilkerson, 53, was reported missing at approximately 12:45 p.m. after an alert was received regarding the removal of an ankle monitor. Staff immediately initiated an emergency count that confirmed Wilkerson was missing and then launched a search. CDCR’s Office of Correctional Safety and local law enforcement agencies have been notified and are assisting.

Wilkerson is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 154 pounds. He has brown eyes and is bald, and was last seen wearing black jeans and a black and white shirt with a white logo on the sleeve.

Wilkerson was received from San Diego County on Feb. 22, 2023. He was sentenced to six years for corporal injury on specific persons resulting in traumatic condition with an enhancement for inflicting great bodily injury involving domestic violence. Wilkerson has been housed at the MCRP in San Diego since Jan. 23, 2024.

Anyone who sees Wilkerson or has knowledge of his whereabouts should contact law enforcement or call 9-1-1.

The MCRP allows eligible people committed to state prison to serve the end of their sentences in the reentry center and provides them the programs and tools necessary to transition from custody to the community. It is a voluntary program for male offenders who have approximately one year left to serve. The program links offenders to a range of community-based rehabilitative services that assist with substance use disorders, mental health care, medical care, employment, education, housing, family reunification and social support.

Since 1977, 99 percent of all people who have left an adult institution, camp, or community-based program without permission have been apprehended.
