Search Warrants Result in Drug Seizure and Firearms
March 21, 2024 - Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Friday, March 15, at 7:00 A.M., Gang Task Force Officers from Region 2 served multiple search warrants in the cities of Beaumont and Banning regarding an ongoing drug and weapons sales investigation. Through the search warrants, Gang Task Force Officers seized the following:
- 9 firearms
- Approximately 6 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms
- Over 500 psilocybin candy bars
- Over 1,000 THC cartridges
- Over 500 rounds of ammunition
- A ballistic vest
- Approximately 2½ pints of promethazine with Codeine
- Approximately 75 pounds of fireworks
- Approximately $35,000 in cash
- 1 Riverside County Jail (XL) jumpsuit top
Benjamin Silvey, age 20, Chase Gilmore, age 20, and Ricardo Santiago Ibarra, age 36, all of Beaumont, were arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility for various drug and weapons related charges.
The Riverside County Gang Task Force is a collaborative effort of several law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs. The San Gorgonio Special Operations Regional Gang Task Force is one of six teams which compose the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force. The San Gorgonio Special Operations Gang Task Force is staffed with members from the Beaumont Police Department and Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
