May 13, 2024 - Riverside County Sheriff Department officials report the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) has conducted an investigation since February 2024 into an organized retail crime and trailer cargo theft ring.

On May 9, 2024, around 8:00 p.m.,  Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station SET deputies served a search warrant on a warehouse located in the 24000 block of Highway 74 in the unincorporated area of Perris, known as Good Hope. Over 160 pallets of stolen merchandise, ranging from food products to industrial-grade tools, were seized during the service of the search warrant. The recovered stolen property was valued at over 1.4 million dollars.

A truck driver, 34-year-old Rajdeep Singh of Jurupa Valley, was detained during the service of the search warrant and arrested for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. This is an ongoing investigation, and deputies are working to determine Singh’s involvement and identifying additional suspects. No additional information is available at this time.
