June 3, 2024 - Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials report on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at approximately 9:23 p.m. officers from the 
Monrovia Police responded to the 700 block of Duarte Road, in the city of Monrovia to investigate the shooting of a male adult at the location. The call for service indicated there was a gunshot victim at the location. The victim was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead.
Investigators learned there was a disturbance between several individuals. During the disturbance, the victim was shot in the upper torso. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Several witnesses are on scene and being interviewed.
