Deputy-Involved Shooting / Homicide Investigation (Update)
June 12, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that the Department of Justice is leading the investigation into 
the deputy-involved shooting. The Riverside Sheriff’s Force Investigations Detail assumed the investigation into the assault on the deputy. As a result of the investigation, the male suspect, identified as Eric Nourani, a 33-year-old resident of San Diego County, was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for murder, attempted murder of a peace officer, mayhem, and resisting an officer with violence.
The identity of the deceased female suspect will be withheld pending notification of next-of-kin. Due to the ongoing investigation, no further information will be released.
