Man Arrested for Murder After He Calls for Help for Injured Woman 

June 22, 2024 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a call near Summit Valley Road and Foley Road, in the unincorporated area of Hesperia, after a man, Ethan Biroczky, reported his wife was injured and was inside a vehicle.  When deputies arrived, they found a woman, identified as Ashlee Bogdanoff, had been shot.  Bogdanoff was transported to a trauma center in critical condition and succumbed to her injuries the following day, on June 20th.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail assumed the investigation.  Their investigation determined Biroczky was responsible for Bogdanoff’s death and was arrested for PC 187- Murder.  Biroczky was booked in at the High Desert Detention Center where he remains without bail.
