Fatal Shooting on MTA Platform 

June 25, 2024 – Los Angeles, CA –  Los Angeles Police Department officials report that on Friday, June 21, 2024, around 7:20 p.m., LAPD Southwest Area officers responded to a radio call of an Ambulance Shooting on the 5600 block of West Jefferson Boulevard at the La Cienega/Jefferson E-Line Platform. The victim was on the departing E-Line train when the suspect approached and shot the victim. The suspect then fled the location with several other males.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim deceased at scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 38-year-old Juan Garcia.

South Bureau Homicide Division is investigating this case and they are requesting the public’s help. The investigation is ongoing.
